I didn’t really believe the hanky code existed until a few days ago.  I live in SF- so I am bound to see it if it exists- and I saw a little Asian gay guy walking in front of me from BART.  I was excited to look up what his hanky meant but it was boring.  White = safer sex according to Wikipedia. I mean props to him for being an advocate for safe sex but it was a bit of a let down.

In the movie “Get him to the Greek” the Russell Brand Gay/English character does a couple naughty things that get by Meredith Viera’s live tv show censors.

This thing seems a little fake to me as they would have done some kind of pre-taping interview or run through and known how the Gay/English/Child/Cunt-Talker would likely respond.

When Seth’s corner is mentioned it, and I know everyone has already watched these edits, it reminded me of the movie but I think that Seth’s editing was better it reminded me of what Adam Curtis does in his documentaries.

Good episode. Jah’s story was crazy and you could tell he was bummed out when Seth asks him “How’s that treating you?” I also didn’t know about the whole being gay and giving blood thing.

The Hanky code to the best of my knowledge has been going on for quite some time.
I first heard about it in an interview with skateboarder Chris Haslam.
He jumped on to the “over accessorizing” trend that ran rampant in the skateboarding community back in like ‘05 or ‘07, and then found out about said “hanky code” and got the biggest life check of embarrassment.
Imagine finding out about this hanky code as a heterosexual male, and having built an entire career filled with photographs and video clips of you rocking any number of colors of hankys in any and damned near all pockets.

He ran the hanky gauntlet, unknowingly.
