I wish I had seen this sooner! It’s 2:30am, 12/17/10, just donated. Add $25 to whatever the total was in episode 250! Wish I could donate $25.00 per week, UYD is priceless to me.

Bonuses. Sales people get em, stockbrokers get em… Why not dancecasters? I think it would be super fresh if we all gave the boys 25 bucks on the day episode 250 goes up. I’m gonna do it anyway, but the more people do it the better the bonus for our boys. If a hundred of us did it, it would be awesome- and there are thousands of uyd listeners out there so it could be huge! Seth could get new rims for the dance, jonathon could buy a case of uncle eddies cookies… Think about it…...do it. 250 hours of uyd should definitely be recognized.

On a side note, how many of those “winning” podcasts last night have a fan base that got together to give their hosts an awesome present on their own. I doubt any of those 220 nominations did. I think this proves that Seth and jah are the best and this nation is the best.

Just out of curiosity do you think there is anyone J-Dog hasnt looked at this thread at some point? I mean it doesnt really matter, but they have to know it’s coming right?
jonathan knows about it. i talked to him a few days ago and he brought it up. we are pretty sure Seth knows about the drive, but not how much money has been donated. i think there will be a surprise announcement for seth on-air during 250. i know how much has been donated as of a few days ago, but will refrain from spoiling it here and now.
all the more reason to tune in for 250!

Don’t feel too silly. I, too, was under that impression but had a nagging sensation on my drive home, checked the forum and just made my donation!

I get how a total isn’t a classy thing to reveal, but it would be cool to know an actual thing they used some of the money for. Like “some of the money helped UYD host their site” or “now Jah has a real debit card” or “we very much enjoyed a bunch of gnarly energy drinks” or “Jah’s got his eye on a e-garette” that would be awesome.
I know when I gave my 25 bucks I wasn’t looking to know the end total, nor was I hoping to get a shout out. I was just excited someone created a fun opportunity to say thank you - UYD is as good as any book or movie or event we pay for and they give it to us for free, no questions asked. So, I think for a lot of us, when we donated that money, we were also happy to do it, no questions asked.
My donation was no-questions asked as well, but I do think it would be cool to know how much the total was. This was a group effort, and I think the whole point of giving $25 was to contribute to something bigger.
I could see why the guys wouldn’t want to say a number, but I also think saying it would encourage more donations, not hinder them.
Whatevs—it’s their show. I haven’t had any complaints yet!
i hope jah used the money to replace those shrooms that got confiscated whilst on tour
