I need you yall

I struggle everyday, I deal with so much shit and all I want is some good music. So if you have any recommendations please let me know.

What I am looking for in particular is like indie electronic with an R&B taste and some Beatles-esque melodies. And obviously dubstep.
Bands I like:
Discovery (love)
Alex Winston remixes
Cut Copy
Ratatat (love)
Some small black
some passion pit
paul simon anyone?
Neon Indian -psychic chasms only
Miike Snow
Modeselektor
Empire of the Sun
El Guincho
& like Contact High Javelin Remix
Wolfgang Gartner - Cognitive Dissonance
some animal collective

But I hate, even though I should like;
jj (other than KILLS)
tori y moi
the presets
hot chip
dirty projectors

basically I need an electronic version of the miracles/the Beatles
songs, remixes and cover recommendations encouraged

Good looks if anyone helps. Make it work!

ps if you guys need suggestions let me know.

Love, Morgan

I second the Phish thing—and will say that there’s nothing wrong with listening to the albums.  They’re awesome and sweet, too.

Stereolab should be on that list—electronic + Beatles melody, stretched and starched, shuffled, compressed, tie-dyed, acid-washed and rebooted is basically Stereolab.  Basically.

Ween: best band currently in existence.  Although I don’t think they hold the trappings they did for my adolescent ass and if you have to ask where to start, I’ll just shrug and say ‘fuck it, man’ and you may never hear them.

Look for Creedle albums, too—those are like hard core drugs taken through the ear canal from a little brown bottle in my shaving kit.

I’ll regret this post tomorrow.

Phish’s studio stuff is good for people who arent into the extended jamming (which is a lot of people). They are definitely worth a listen if you’re looking for some new stuff to listen to. Start with Rift..it’s their best album IMHO

Agreed, Rift is for the win…..

Although I’d possibly recommend Farmhouse first, for an introductory listen for those not into jambands. Its prob their most mainstream stuff…

but yea, Rift is their best album hands down

Mr. Johnny Prine about sums it up. Check out ‘Souvenirs’ and then just go from there.  It may not meet your above mentioned criteria, but fuck it, it’s good shit.
